Journal 4U Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal data.

In addition to this Privacy Policy, we provide data and privacy information embedded in our products and certain features that ask to use your personal information. You will be given an opportunity to review this product-specific information before using these features. You can also view this information at any time, either in Settings related to those features and/or online.

What Is Personal Data at Journal 4U?

At Journal 4U, we are aligned and believe with Apple® and/or Apple Inc. philosophy of putting customers privacy rights first, and at heart of everything we do. Regardless of where you live in the world, you are entitled for fundamental privacy rights. Data that directly identifies you - such as your name - is personal data, and also data that is used to identify you such as serial number of your device - is personal data. This Privacy Policy covers how Journal 4U app handles personal data whether you interact with us on our app, our website or in person (including by email). Journal 4U’s privacy policy does not apply to how third parties define personal data or how they use it. We encourage you to read their privacy policies and know your privacy rights before interacting with them.

Your Privacy Rights at Journal 4U

At Journal 4U, we respect your ability to correct, access, know, transfer, restrict the processing of, and delete your personal data. Journal 4U do not sell your data including as “sale” is defined in Nevada, Delaware and California. 

As such, we do not collect or share any personal data from you. You are required to have iCloud® account with sufficient iCloud Drive® storage to use Journal 4U app. All your journals are stored in your iCloud account if you have sufficient iCloud Drive storage or in your iPhone®, iPad®, Apple Vision Pro™ or Apple Watch®. We do not have access to your iCloud account, iPhone and/or iPad and/or Apple Vision Pro and/or Apple Watch. All your journals entries will be stored permanently in your iCloud account or in your iPhone and/or iPad and/or Apple Vision Pro and/or Apple Watch until you decide to delete it. You have full control on your own personal data.

Personal Data Journal 4U Collects from You

At Journal 4U, we believe that your journals belongs to you and only you can have access to create or delete it. Hence, we build a great product with great privacy in mind.

Journal 4U app uses Apple latest technology, Core Data with CloudKit® to store your journals in your iCloud account. As such, we do not have access to your personal data and do not held any responsibility if your personal data or journals data are lost, modified, or accessed by any third party including Apple® and/or Apple Inc.

Your journals data are encrypted by default with CloudKit security. Some information such as journaling location and voice transcription has additional layer of cryptographic protection for active subscribers. Journal 4U app use private databases to store your journals data. Hence, Journal 4U app do not have access to your personal data or journals data in iCloud. Journal 4U app may use analytics system provided by Apple to improvise your experience using Journal 4U app. The data that Journal 4U app collects are not linked to your personal data or identity. It is merely to provide a better user experience by understanding users behaviour.
